BOTHELL, Wash. - Brooks Running Company announced it will sponsor the Mt. San Antonio College (SAC) Relays and Cross Country Invitational beginning in 2014. With this partnership, over 40,000 athletes and 20,000 attendees will celebrate not just the spirit of competition, but also the “run happy” joy of the sport.

HOUSTON - The Chevron Houston Marathon's Run for a Reason charity program raised $2.2 million to benefit 60 charities, the Houston Marathon Committee announced. With more than 17,000 donations, the 2012-2013 season marks the third year in a row that fundraising has surpassed the $2 million mark.

Each year, hundreds of runners, club leaders, event directors, and corporate supporters attend the RRCA Convention. The 55th RRCA Convention will be hosted in Albuquerque, NM from Thursday through Sunday, May 2-5, 2013.

BOSTON – With less than one month until the 117th Boston Marathon, the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) announced that several former champions of the Boston Marathon will return to Boston to participate in events surrounding this year’s running of the historic race. The 117th running of the world’s oldest annual marathon will take place on Monday, April 15, 2013.

NAPA, Calif. — (March 3, 2013) — Kevin Pool of Folsom, Calif. didn’t plan on winning the 35th Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon.
He entered the 26.2-mile race through the scenic Napa Valley
wine-growing region as a training run in preparation for this coming
April’s Boston Marathon. On the other hand, San Francisco’s Michelle Meyer
set a goal of recording a fast time, and possibly a women’s win, at
Napa. Both Pool and Meyer emerged victorious in close contests and
were crowned Road Runners Club of America national marathon champions.
The marathon served as Road Runners Club of America’s 2013 National Marathon Championship.
