January 3, 2013—There are just over four months until the 37th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run, and to help fortify New Year’s resolutions to get in shape, early bird registration for Bloomsday is now open at www.bloomsdayrun.org. Those who sign up by February 10th will have a chance to win one of three Apple iPad minis courtesy of Strong Solutions—1718 E. Sprague.
“Don’t procrastinate” advises Lilac Bloomsday Association President Steven Jones. “Use your early Bloomsday registration as an incentive to becoming fit or fitter. Sign up now and chart your course for a great Bloomsday and a healthy 2013. Of course, winning an iPad mini would be pretty cool too.”
Everyone who enters Bloomsday online through February 10th will be automatically entered in the iPad mini drawing. The iPad minis are being offered by Strong Solutions—an Apple Authorized Reseller and Service Provider. Strong Solutions specializes in sales, service and repair of Apple products, also offering classes, in-home and on-site service, consulting and solutions.
Those signing up for Bloomsday will also have the opportunity to add a donation to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center (the MLK Center), which has been selected as Bloomsday’s official charity for 2013. The MLK Center improves the quality of life for children, youth and families in Spokane through an array of culturally responsive educational and social services within the framework of Dr. King's vision of equal respect, treatment and accessibility for all people.
“Bloomsday is proud to have the MLK Center as its official charity in 2013,” says Jones. “The work the Center does to make Spokane a better place is to be celebrated. We hope that Bloomsday entrants will recognize the importance of the MLK Center by providing a donation with their entries.”
Bloomsday ’13 will be Sunday, May 5, 2013. Full details of the 37th annual event will be released in early March, at which time printed entry forms will be available at locations throughout the Inland Northwest.
